Steven Jason
Managing Principal

Steven Jason is Managing Principal of EOS Real Estate and Financial Advisory, and leads its Board of Advisors. For over 10 years, Steve has been executing high-level consulting and advisory engagements for a wide range of real estate companies and investors. Having held senior executive roles with responsibilities for asset, portfolio and transaction management, legal, operations and finance, Steve brings a unique multi-disciplinary approach to his work. His clients run the gamut from banks and financial institutions, to private equity funds and real estate companies, and include, among others, Torchlight Investors, Centennial Bank, Trez Capital, and The Fallon Company.

Mr. Jason’s background ranges from work with Fortune500 companies and law firms, to private equity and entrepreneurial start-up firms. He has also acted in principal capacities in developing strategic alternatives for real estate owners, investors and financial institutions. Among his roles, Steve played a key leadership role in building a Goldman Sachs company into its largest operating partner in North America.

He is a graduate of University of Connecticut where he earned a bachelor’s degree as an Honors Scholar in Economics. He also holds a Juris Doctorate degree from New York Law School.

During Steve’s rare leisure time, he also works as a professional voiceover.

Lori Schechter Roseman
Director

Lori Schechter Roseman is a senior financial executive with a track record in institutional real estate.  She brings over 30 years of experience in all areas of real estate investing, financial management and operations.  Ms. Roseman has managed over $5 billion of investments across all asset classes within portfolios exceeding 20 million square feet, including $3 billion of financing transactions. 

Lori has held senior positions at boutique firms and larger platforms, such as Arch Street Capital, RFR Holdings, Thor Equities, Emmes Asset Management and JLL. Her experience includes creating and executing turnaround strategies, and positioning assets for successful exits. She has managed portfolios for multi-family, single family rental homes, student housing, mixed-used assets, hotels, retail, and office buildings.  Ms. Roseman has built her reputation by consistently achieving outstanding results through strategic planning, deal structuring and negotiations and has established herself as a highly effective, results oriented portfolio manager. 

Ms. Roseman holds both an MBA in finance and real estate and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Daniel Lin
Director

Dan Lin has over 15 years of experience working with commercial real estate transactions. Dan has held key positions with Capital One Bank and Royal Bank of Canada, focusing primarily on liquidity management strategies and capital stack efficiencies as a balance sheet lender. He has also held roles with JPMorgan and Credit Suisse in procurement, technology and trading.

Dan has worked on numerous real estate transactions, including company and portfolio acquisitions and divestitures, bankruptcy recapitalizations, and the financing of REITs and REOCs. Key sectors include: office, retail, industrial, data centers, seniors housing, lodging, and multi-family (including LIHTCs and municipal bond financings).

Dan earned an MBA from Columbia Business School, and a BSBA from New York University. He is a member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

Mark Melhuish
Advisor

Mark Melhuish has 30 years of experience in real estate private equity investments, including asset and portfolio management, acquisitions, underwriting, dispositions, development, JV oversight and equity and debt financing.  Mark'’s experience ranges from one-off property investments to portfolios, funds and private equity investment platforms.  His experience includes all major real estate property types across the US and across a broad range of investment structures. 

Mark has previously worked in the real estate opportunity funds at Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers as well as private equity investment firms, private real estate developers and foreign investors. 

Mark received an MBA from the University of Virginia and a BS from the University of New Hampshire.  He holds a real estate sales license in Connecticut and has a pending real estate broker’s license in New York.


Cynthia Plunkett
Director

Cynthia Plunkett has over twenty years of experience in commercial real estate underwriting and due diligence. Her broad-based expertise includes the diligence and underwriting of all property types. Cynthia’s transactional responsibilities have ranged from site inspections, Argus builds, excel modeling, lease abstracting, cash flow analysis, credit memo preparation and presentation, to recovery modeling analysis, cash flow audits, asset management, valuations of large pools of non-performing assets, and lease buyout evaluations.

Most recently, Cynthia served as Head of Underwriting and Transactions for Summer Street Advisors. During her 10+ year tenure with Summer Street Advisors, Cynthia specialized in underwriting for debt, equity and owner/investor clients, as well as various special projects. As the Head of Underwriting, her role included managing multiple long-term client relationships, managing teams of underwriters and analysts, including large teams for special projects, and ensuring quality control.

Cynthia began her career at PwC as a member of a team specializing in modeling and cash flow due diligence, including lease abstracting and expense testing. At Merrill Lynch Capital, Cynthia underwrote $500+ million in bridge financing transactions for both senior debt and preferred equity. During the “Great Financial Crisis”, while at Mesirow Financial, she represented unsecured lenders, including re-underwriting 80 loans of a distressed public CDO company.

Mrs. Plunkett holds a Master of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas.

Scott Hileman 
Director

Scott Hileman has more than 30 years of real estate operational and advisory experience throughout the United States and abroad, including work in Sweden, Russia and Venezuela. His experience spans all aspects of real estate investment and operations, including underwriting/due diligence, financing, development, operations, asset management, accounting/reporting, and dispositions. He is also skilled at analyzing and valuing all major real estate property types (e.g., retail, office, industrial, multifamily) as well as specialty uses (e.g., hospitality/leisure, storage facilities, parking lots, golf courses, land, etc.) and debt products (e.g., mezzanine and bridge loans, CDOs, CMBS).  

Most recently, Scott was a Managing Director in the Miami Real Estate Advisory Services Practice of Deloitte Transactions and Business Analytics LLP. He also served as the National Practice Leader for the firm’s Real Estate Lease Advisory Services and helped lead the Deloitte Lease Abstraction Center of Excellence which provided lease abstraction services related to the ASC 842 and IFRS 16 lease accounting provisions.  

Prior to joining Deloitte, Scott was Chief Operating Officer, U.S. Real Estate, for Babcock & Brown, a global investment fund headquartered in Sydney, Australia. Scott also previously held senior level positions in the real estate advisory services practices of Alvarez & Marsal and Ernst & Young.  For Alvarez & Marsal, he ran the New York real estate practice and participated in advisory engagements for the firm’s turnaround and restructuring clients. At Ernst & Young, he was National Practice Leader for the Real Estate Business Transformation Group which provided business process improvement and technology services to a wide array of public and private sector clients.  

Scott received his Bachelor of Arts (Concentration in Business) from Pennsylvania State University.
